The Super G Experiential Residency Program was an active national residency program located inside and international food market. The Super G invites both artists and non-artists alike to develop projects “directed towards the production of experience." Co-founded in 2010 with Donovan McKnight, local community organizer.
Residents have used the opportunity to explore the Super G Market, create public events, offer temporary services, or personal well-being.
The Super G Experiential Program explores hybrid use of public space, urban planning, social design, and participatory learning. Public workshops and events bridge The University of North Carolina and the greater community. By bringing together and celebrating the cultural diversity of our city, new connections have been made that have led to civic initiatives, stronger communications and more open minds.
