A group of students led by artist Karen O'Rourke, used the City System as the basis of a class project entitled Derives.

After student Claire Raffaelli's translated and altered the City System to work for Fontenay-Aux-Roses (a suburb of Paris), the class set out for an unpredictable urban experience.
