For the exhibition "Not Quite How I Remember It", Lee Walton worked with over 40 actors to orchestrate a series of Life/Theater performances at the Harbourfront.
Mixing real life and theater, participating actors would pass by the Harbourfront promenade directly outside the Powerplant Gallery. Acting out subtle and apparently normal activities, the actors would blur themselves seamlessly into the scene.Watching closely, the audience would attempt to determine who was acting and was real.
Over time, the actors would begin to reveal themselves through exact and precise repetitive loops of their activities. In this case, each performance was 30 minutes, which allowed the actors to pass by about every 3 minutes.
Special Thanks to the Curator Helena Reckitt, Powerplant staff Jon Davies, Jennifer Matotek and Molly Sigalet and most importantly the Life/Theater Actors.
Can you guess who is real and who is acting?
