EXPERIENTIAL FICTION

Curated by Laura Mott, Experiential Fiction was a project that hid four short stories secretly in four different public places in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. The stories were written only to be read in that exact place - and nowhere else.

Knowing readers would use a map and guide to retrieve these stories and experience them in the immersive, real-life environment they were written for.

I worked with four amazing and internationally recognized writers; Kristofer Folkhammar, Lina Persson, UKON, and Sara Hallström.

Originally, this project was conceived and orchestrated in 2007 as part of Laura Mott's Master of Arts Thesis Exhibition. This exhibition was devoted to "experiential art practice" and the use of journeys as an artistic medium. Organized by the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in conjunction with its graduate program in curatorial studies and contemporary art.
