F’Book, What My Friends Are Doing On Facebook playfully explores the relationship between mainstream social media and issues of public/private space.

In responde to Facebook "Status Updates" I selected particular updates and used them as scripts for a series of video performances. I would interpret these updates and reenact them in my own home. Each day, I would upload a new video back onto the person's Facebook Wall, thus re-circulating the Status Update. Over the course of two months, I created more than 50 videos.

Additional Notes
This project created a lot of attention and reached broad audiences that ranged popular culture (in-room television programming at Standard Hotels in New York, Miami, Downtown Los Angeles, and Hollywood), academic institutions (case studies at various universities, such as Parsons and UC Santa Cruz), was published in a textbook Net Works, Case Studies of Web Art and Design by Routledge and inspired a handful of re-creations by others.
