The Terra Cotta Heritage Foundation, founded by Dennis L. Waddell, is an organization with the primary mission to document the lives and histories of more than 200 families who lived and worked in Terra Cotta.

As a class, we visited the Terra Cotta Museum and met with residents of the community. We were taken on a walk through the last remaining portion of this neighborhood and learned about the everyday life and history of this small community. My students created prints and drawings that responded to the Terra Cotta neighborhood and archives. Editions of these prints were then gifted to the Museum.

To conclude the project, Dennis Waddell and residents of the TC community were invited to visit UNCG and tour our etching studio.  We exhibited the prints in the studio and demonstrated the printing process.

We then donated the editions to the Terra Cotta Heritage Foundation.
